Since 1989, Carol Joy has worked her way up through management, design, and administration. Throughout the years, she has been employed by a variety of companies for a period exceeding three decades. In 2013, she boldly embarked on her own business venture, specializing in administrative work. She is an entrepreneur who works as a self-employed professional and now runs a remote business. She has provided clients with unparalleled assistance in various areas, including the structuring and organization of their company accounts and records. Her expertise extends to legal filings and documentation, making her the go-to professional for seamless company management. She has since expanded her creative expertise to building brands for small businesses and nonprofits. This includes building logos, websites, business cards, and social media outlets. Carol Joy is an artist. Her passion is painting in oils on canvas. She has sold various artworks in the United States.
CAROL JOY’S BIO
From an early age, Carol Joy demonstrated a remarkable balance of creativity and a strong mathematical aptitude, which set her apart. She had a passion for playing the flute in concert band and twirling the rifle in marching band. In seventh grade, she began her journey of travel and exploration when her band was invited to Vienna, Austria for a prestigious international competition. They were awarded second place in the world. She continued her education, demonstrating leadership qualities, and was awarded a scholarship for college, known as the "Presidents Leadership Class."
Carol Joy's initial employment was in a women's clothing retail establishment. She demonstrated a keen interest in fashion and design in the store. In this role, she found her professional niche, thriving in the creation of new and innovative looks. She rapidly ascended the corporate ladder, assuming a management position. For several years, she traveled extensively, creating displays and opening new stores across the United States. She was recognized with various awards in store competitions and was awarded a 10-day cruise. Carol Joy was selected to participate in the President's honorary trip, a distinction reserved for the top stores within the company.
Subsequently, she transitioned into a role that capitalized on her administrative skills, working with banking and other service companies. Certain administrative areas were associated with receivables and payables. Upon relocating to Santa Barbara, California, she assumed the role of executive assistant to a tax accountant specializing in real estate business. She was employed by him for a period of 10 years. Her creative and organizational skills enabled her to develop innovative methods for organizing the books and receivables for this firm. She is an expert in Subchapter S Corporation formations. She has extensive experience processing these formations from start to finish, including the completion of start-ups in the state of California. Then she assumed the role of Agent for Service for these corps. In this capacity, she was responsible for maintaining their good standing with the Secretary of State. This was achieved by annually filing the Statement of Information and processing their annual minutes.
In 2013, Carol Joy created her own Subchapter S Corporation and entered into a business partnership with her boss. After he departed, she assumed responsibility for managing his tax business. She was the partner based in the United States who worked with the clients receiving their tax documents. He was responsible for receiving the taxes, and she would follow up with the client when the work was completed. Carol Joy would handle all the administrative duties and bookkeeping for several clients.
Her business began to expand, attracting clients who required administrative support for their businesses, as well as assistance with office organization and bookkeeping. Since 2013, she has been working with a client who has over ten LLCs engaged in real estate business. She assisted the client in organizing her books and creating various forms from Excel and Microsoft Word to maintain the records of each business. Carol Joy has played a pivotal role in the organization of numerous office structures for these companies.
Carol Joy is passionate about leveraging her creativity to help nonprofits manage administrative tasks and improve their digital presence through strategic website and YouTube design. She has recently worked on several nonprofit websites that have grown since she began working on them. She now works remotely on all of her projects. She can complete her job anywhere.
Since 2015, Carol Joy has been enjoying her hobby of oil painting, and it's now become her passion! She absolutely loves painting landscapes and seascapes, and has experimented with a variety of other painting styles. As Carol Joy kept painting, she started giving away many of her pieces to friends and family. Then, in 2023, she began selling her artwork, and she is delighted to see how much it brings them joy. She has also started offering commissioned artwork services when she is in the United States.
Carol Joy and her husband, David, embarked on a new adventure on September 25, 2024, moving to France on a one-year visa. They're currently working on renewing their resident permit, excited to see what the next year has in store for them. They've started an exciting new chapter in Strasbourg, France, and they're already exploring and enjoying the sites. She is continually expanding her freelance work online in the United States while living in France, so that they can sustain themselves while they are there. She's thrilled to keep enjoying painting, and she's setting her sights on France as the perfect place to do just that.
